Our client, who are a international freight forwarder are currently seeking an Air Import Freight Coordinator to join their team in Hayes, UK

As Air Import Coordinator, you will be tasked to complete the start-to-finish process of all things Air Imports.


Job type: Permanent

Hours: Monday to Friday - 09:00AM to 17:30PM


Job Tasks, Responsibilities, Requirements:


  • Liaising with airlines, agents, customers and origin offices, to arrange the smooth handling of shipments.
  • Arranging collections for freight from the airline, arranging deliveries to customers and completing invoicing.
  • Dealing with customs queries whilst supporting the customs team.
  • Liaise with different branches to arrange their trucking requirements and manage the inbound Air Freight.
  • Work in a compliant manner by following set out procedures.
  • Computer literate with basic knowledge of Excel, Word. Preferred but not essential AS400, Outlook and ASM Sequoia
  • Ability to communicate effectively.
  • Be able to work accurately with good attention to detail.
  • Ability to plan, execute and complete a given task within a specified timeframe.
  • Self-initiative.
  • Be able to work as part of a team.
  • Understand requirements and operational procedures
  • Good organisation skills
  • Problem-solving and Leadership skills.
  • Good understanding of CHIEF/CDS entries for Import and Export
