My client is one of the world's leading investors in the Private Equity Secondary market and they are looking for a Senior Cloud Network Engineer to join their London office on contract basis.


My client’s enterprise technology is being transformed to a Cloud-First, Cloud-Native architectural model, utilising DevSecOps processes and adoption of systems thinking concepts from LEAN to enhance productivity. The existing team of Cloud Engineers are responsible for delivering Cloud-native solutions that are fully automated through code, are scalable, and maximise availability and reliability 24 x 7.


Your key responsibilities will be as follows:

  • Have broad responsibilities to engineer and secure their core Azure platform services across the global footprint.
  • Go deep on Cloud Network engineering, adopting Zero Trust Architecture principles.
  • Engineer and maintain Cloud Secure Web Gateways to protect web-based threats and enforce policies.
  • Engineer and administer Next-Gen CASB solutions to gain visibility and control over Cloud applications/data.
  • Advance branch/SD-WAN solutions to optimise network performance and connectivity for remote locations.
  • Collaborate with other areas of Engineering and Service Operations to ensure the successful integration of SSE/SASE.
  • Automate every operational aspect of the Infrastructure and systems lifecycle.


Required skills/ experience:

  • Strong knowledge of Windows Server, Virtualisation, Containerisation technologies on Azure.
  • Proficiency in object-oriented programming and developing automated solutions through code.
  • A strong passion for network security and a desire to protect organisations from evolving cyber threats.
  • Continual learning and advancement of Microsoft Azure technologies (OS Compute, Storage, Networking, Security, Management) and Docker, Kubernetes, Terraform, or similar technologies.
  • Have a keen interest in Open Source development and industry innovation.
  • Know what the use of configuration management systems (like Ansible) are for.
