Role Overview: The Personal Tax Manager will be responsible for managing personal tax compliance and advisory services for a diverse portfolio of clients. This role involves providing strategic tax planning advice, managing a team of tax professionals, and ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in personal tax, excellent leadership skills, and a client-focused approach.
Key Responsibilities:
Oversee and manage the personal tax compliance process for a wide range of clients.
Provide expert advice on personal tax matters, including income tax, inheritance tax, capital gains tax, and trusts.
Develop and implement tax planning strategies that optimize clients' tax positions.
Ensure compliance with UK tax laws and regulations, and manage relationships with HMRC.
Conduct thorough tax research and stay updated on changes in tax legislation.
Prepare and review complex tax returns and computations.
Mentor and develop junior tax staff, providing guidance and support.
Work collaboratively with other departments to deliver integrated services to clients.
Identify and mitigate tax risks for clients and the firm.

Qualifications:
ACA/ACCA/CTA qualified or equivalent.
Minimum of 5 years of experience in a personal tax role, preferably in a professional services firm.
In-depth knowledge of UK personal tax legislation and compliance requirements.
Proven experience in tax planning and advisory work.
Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines.
Proficient in tax software and Microsoft Office Suite.
