Job Description:
We are looking for an experienced Principal Data Scientist with deep expertise in Large Language Models (LLMs) and their integration into applications. As a key leader in our data science team, you will drive the development of AI solutions that leverage LLMs, mentor and coach junior staff, and work closely with cross-functional teams to deliver high-impact projects. Your role will be crucial in shaping the future of our AI-driven products and services.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the design, development, and deployment of AI solutions that integrate Large Language Models into real-world applications.
- Collaborate with product managers, engineers, and other stakeholders to define project requirements and deliver data-driven solutions that meet business needs.
- Provide mentorship and coaching to junior data scientists, fostering a culture of learning and professional growth within the team.
- Conduct research and stay up-to-date with the latest advancements in LLMs, machine learning, and AI technologies, applying this knowledge to improve our products.
- Develop and maintain high-quality, scalable code using Python and associated libraries, including NumPy, Pandas, and others.
- Oversee the end-to-end lifecycle of AI projects, from data collection and preprocessing to model training, evaluation, and deployment.
- Ensure best practices in data science, machine learning, and software development are followed across the team.
- Present findings, insights, and recommendations to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
Skills & Qualifications:
- Expertise in Python and its data science libraries (NumPy, Pandas, Scikit-learn, etc.).
- Deep understanding of Large Language Models (e.g., GPT, BERT) and their applications.
- Strong experience in mentoring and coaching junior team members.
- Proficiency in data preprocessing, feature engineering, and model evaluation.
- Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Google Cloud, etc.) and MLOps practices.
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to explain complex concepts to non-technical audiences.
- Familiarity with deep learning frameworks (TensorFlow, PyTorch) is a plus.
- Experience: Minimum of 5 years in data science or machine learning, with a strong focus on LLMs and AI integration.
- Education: Master’s or Ph.D. in Data Science, Computer Science, Mathematics, or a related field.
