Shift Engineer

Manhattan Loft Gardens is looking for proactive and driven Shift Engineer.

Manhattan Loft Gardens (MLG), known as London Sexiest Skyscraper, is Europes most ambitious 42-storey skyscraper featuring 248 Loft apartments, with three exclusive sky gardens. MLG is located within walking distance from Stratford International Station and Westfield Shopping Centre.

YOUR ROLE

  • To monitor/maintain the lofts general engineering
  • To attend fire alarm calls immediately and to act as part of a fire fighting team
  • To be responsible for using the appropriate safety clothing equipment and for following all maintenance instructions
  • To record accurately all necessary plant information on the relevant documentation logs and bring any defects to the attention of the Chief Engineer
  • To monitor engineering stock levels on a regular basis & communicate low levels or required items
  • To take responsibility for any hazards whilst on duty
  • To maintain accurate records of the shift activities in the respective log books or systems
  • To be familiar with local Fire & Safety regulations
  • To carry out general maintenance as directed by the Chief Engineer
  • To document and carry out handover at shift change i.e. keys, radio, phone and all incomplete work orders or work in progress.
  • To update the job log system with the status of all work orders within a timely manner
  • To respond to job log system registered works and complete all jobs assigned within the targeted timescale
  • Liaise with any external contractors who may be employed by the hotel to carry out maintenance work.
  • Ensure that PPMs are carried out regularly.
  • Support maintenance project works
