About the Pub

The Union Hotel is situated in the Plainmoor district of Torquay and is close to Torquay United FC giving a trading advantage on home match days and is a popular community local with numerous pub sports teams including Skittles, Darts and Pool.

The site offers a large bar area with two serveries and dedicated area for pub games including pool and darts.

The opportunity exists to build upon the current business foundation through the further development of community links and development of new markets from the surrounding area. The pub is renowned for it's quality Cask Ale and the successful applicant would need to be able to develop this trade further.

Regional Manager's Thoughts

Currently, the pub trades as a wet led community local and is well supported in the area. There is scope to add additional pub sports teams as well as build upon the existing reputation the pub has for providing quality cask ale in order to attract new customers. The new publican should ensure that the Union is the hub of the community.

Surrounding Area

The Union Hotel occupies an excellent position on the main high street in a densely populated area of Torquay surronded by local shops. Residential housing is located to the front and behind of the pub allowing for plenty of local trade. Torquay United Football Club is just a three minute walk away as is the bowling club also offering trading opportunities.
