An excellent opportunity for a Junior import Merchandiser to join a fast growing, successful, FMCG company who supply both private label and branded products to highly successful leading retailers worldwide. The company are a highly respected and dynamic company who have seen significant growth year on year. Ideally you will have a previous experience working in merchandising/buying and be very organised with good attention to detail. You will work along with the senior merchandiser who is a key interface between our customers and internal departments to ensure delivery of customer plans including conversion of forecast into actual sales, timely delivery of orders OTIF to the agreed product quality. The work environment at Amelia Knight is fast paced, challenging and competitive. This role requires a high degree of collaboration, effective communication, with a proactive attitude, you must be a team player.
Roles and Responsibilities
· Create Purchase Orders and Customer Sales Orders in Sage for both UK and China production, monitor and chase through each order to ensure they arrive OTIF.
· Communicate regularly with all key stakeholders including customers, Directors and Project managers reporting on status updates including – order changes, order timings, customer delivery trackers, critical path updates, sample availability, PP samples, OKTS samples, photographs, OA forms.
· Ensure all accompanying documentation is accurate and made available to the appropriate manufacturing site by the agreed deadlines as outlined in the LTT/CP e.g. artwork, carton markings, colour files, cost analysis.
· Liaise with shipping/logistics team to make sure vessel/SIV bookings are made in line with Customer and UK requirements or if UK dispatch liaise with logistics team.
· Assist with speedy resolution of customer enquiries/concerns.
· Working closely with the Planning/Purchasing team and advising them of when components/bulk/packaging are arriving and any delays so no issues to production planning.
· Contribute to regular customer meetings / calls.
· Update Sales Tracker weekly (by Thursday) to ensure it reflects updates in the AKM and avoids double counting.
· Work with AKM to ensure componentry samples have the necessary AQL/quality checks prior to shipment to UKM.
· Participate in handover meetings from Development teams for new products to manage for production.
· Manage customer order systems to ensure customer purchase orders / sales orders are correct.
· Ensure all communication, systems, progressing for production and planning is consistent across all sites UKM and AKM
