A small, dynamic team in Sydney, Australia, looking for a designer to join and expand the design department.


Responsibilities:

  • Work closely with the studio director and lead designer.
  • Support various disciplines, including mission scripts and UE4 implementation.
  • Ensure clear communication among team members and alignment with project goals.
  • Collaborate with departments and external studios to enhance systems and tools.
  • Assist in managing team workload and productivity.
  • Offer feedback and ideas for controls and gameplay.
  • Adapt designs based on feedback from management and publishers.
  • Test builds and report issues before stakeholder reviews.
  • Stay informed on competitive products across all platforms.
  • Maintain clear documentation for production tracking and idea sharing.
  • Provide detailed bug reports and collaborate on new gameplay concepts.


Qualifications:

  • Degree in Computer Science or Game Design with programming focus preferred, or equivalent experience.
  • Strong communication, technical, and problem-solving skills.
  • Highly organized with the ability to meet deadlines.
  • Motivated, positive, and collaborative team player.
  • Adaptable with strong multitasking abilities and attention to detail.


Desired:

  • 3+ years of industry experience.
  • Credit on at least one published title.
  • Experience with Unreal Engine or similar.
  • Proficiency in coding or scripting.
