Job Title: Utilities Regulatory Program Manager (Portfolio Level)

Location: Windsor, UK

Work Arrangement: Hybrid (one office visit per week initially)

Duration: 6 months

Rate Payable: £500 per day

Job Purpose and Primary Objectives:

Lead major projects within the newly established PowerBU area.


Key Responsibilities:

  1. Project Management: Oversee multiple regulatory and compliance projects with fixed implementation deadlines. Collaborate with and influence stakeholders to gather necessary information and drive projects forward despite unclear initial requirements.
  2. Executive Reporting: Report to CIO/Director level, present business cases at program board meetings, manage budget approvals, and create implementation roadmaps.
  3. Meeting Support: Participate in face-to-face meetings as needed, working standard UK office hours (9am-5pm, Mon-Fri).
  4. Project Assurance: Adopt delegation and project assurance roles within agreed reporting structures.
  5. Risk Management: Manage project risks and develop contingency plans.
  6. Stakeholder Management: Effectively manage stakeholder relationships.


Other Responsibilities:

  • Ensure business requirements are accurately captured and reflected in user stories according to sprint goals.


Key Skills/Knowledge:

  1. Stakeholder Engagement: Understand business needs, objectives, and challenges.
  2. Project Planning and Monitoring: Plan and monitor projects effectively.
  3. Requirement Translation: Convert business requirements into clear functional specifications for technical teams.
  4. Collaboration: Collaborate with relevant teams to meet business needs.
  5. Liaison Role: Act as a bridge between business stakeholders and technology teams.
  6. Communication: Exhibit clear and concise verbal and written communication skills.
  7. Presentation: Present recommendations and project updates to various stakeholders effectively.


Experience Required:

  • Minimum 15 years of total IT experience, with at least 3-4 regulatory utility projects managed as a Program Manager.
  • At least 10 years of experience as a Program Manager.
