Are you looking for a role that can launch your career as a Mechanic within Fleet Maintenance?
Via currently has a fantastic o pportunit y to join our Fleet Team in September 202 4 as an HGV Mechanic Apprentices based at our Queens Drive Depot .
As an HGV Fleet Mechanic Apprentice, you will gain first-rate training and mentoring along with hands on experience and practical qualifications to prove it Throughout the training period you will work toward and achieve the Level 3 Heavy Vehicle Service and Maintenance Technician A pprenticeship standard.
Within the role, the successful candidate will work within a busy fleet team to learn a varied range of skills in the maintenance, inspection, repair and testing of Vehicles and Plant with the end goal to becoming a fully skilled mechanic providing a high quality of workmanship to prescribed industry and manufacturers standards ensuring customer satisfaction and repair turnaround times are met.
Youll learn practical skills from a mentor on repairing, maintaining , inspecting and testing a wide range of vehicles and plant, completing tasks to prescribed standards that will be quality checked and recorded. Youll ensure compliance with all routine daily checks of vehicles and plant and ensure these are undertaken, recording to legal requirements and reporting any damage and defects found.
Candidate Requirements:
We are looking for a capable and motivated individual who has an interest in vehicle maintenance and repair.
The ideal candidate will hold at least one of the following:
A minimum of 3 GCSEs at grade C/4 or equivalent
Hold level 1 English and Maths functional skills qualifications and have the ability to study to achieve level 2 upon completion of the apprenticeship
Full Driving Licence (Desirable)
