About the Pub

The Dickleburgh Crown is a grade II listed two-storey detached property located in the village of Dickleburgh. It is a delightful property steeped in history and rich in atmosphere, with exposed beams and two log burning stoves, with the front of the pub catering to drinkers and diners and the rear with a pool table and gaming machines. Presently, the pub can accommodate around 25 covers for dining in the restaurant area, but with additional space in the bar. A compact but well-equipped trade kitchen is located immediately behind the bar and is perfect for developing a food offering. The property also has four characterful, well-decorated letting rooms after an extensive barn conversion, all with en-suite facilities and one with disabled access. The Dickleburgh is rich with facilities and also boasts an outbuilding to the rear of the pub that has recently been converted into a useable space for small functions, parties and meetings. The private accommodation consists of three bedrooms and a lounge, all in good decorative order.

The Dickleburgh Crown has huge potential for an experienced pub or restaurant operator. It is a hidden gem that, if exploited and well marketed, could be a great long-term opportunity. The property has excellent facilities and has recently benefitted from external decoration and new toilets which has enhanced its appeal. The rooms are often full and of a high standard. Overall, I am looking for an experienced publican to take on this fantastic pub.

Surrounding Area

Dickleburgh lies approximately one mile east of the busy A140 between Norwich and Ipswich and boasts an active community including several clubs and societies and regular events. The 100th Bomb Group Memorial Museum is also located in Dickleburgh.
