Main Function:

As a Middle/Back Office Developer, you will be responsible for the development, deployment, and support of applications handling various financial functions. Key areas of focus include transaction feeds, streaming and booking of trades, end-of-day reconciliation, and reporting and analytics related to positions, trades, margin, cash, and more.

Responsibilities:

  • Design and develop pipelines for post-trade processing.
  • Take ownership of applications in production globally, providing 2nd level application support.
  • Collaborate closely with Operations, Traders & Compliance to gather requirements and receive feedback.
  • Work in tandem with global counterparts to ensure maximum reuse of effort.

Candidate Requirements:

  • Relevant degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or Engineering.
  • 3 years of experience in either Python or Java.
  • Experience in processing large datasets with PostgreSQL database and data frame.
  • Familiarity with trade booking using FIX protocol.
  • Knowledge of trading, booking, and/or position keeping.
  • Exposure to scalable, geographically distributed, and high-availability architectures.
  • Experience with applications supporting reporting and reconciliation.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Team player capable of developing industrial-strength software components.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Proven independent contributor in a team dynamic.
  • Knowledge and understanding of OTC products (Interest Rate Swaps, Variance Swaps, CDS, etc.) bookings.
  • Familiarity with C++ and Big Data tools such as Spark, Kafka, Elastic.
