Finance Director | Multi-site Hospitality

Finatal are retained to source a technically strong Finance Director to join a highly acquisitive hospitality group that are scaling rapidly. The business are in need of someone who has experience in a multi-site environment with exposure to stock, FnB, audit, year-end and ideally led fundraising.
This is a hands on, end-end Finance Director position that will suit someone who has a proven track record within a multi-site hospitality/leisure business and bring about change autonomously. The ideal candidate will be a motivated, self-starter who is looking to work alongside some very impressive operators.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement financial strategies to drive profitability and growth.
- Monitor financial performance against budgets and forecasts, providing insights and recommendations to senior management.
- Oversee cash flow management, ensuring adequate liquidity for operational needs and strategic investments.
- Maintain financial controls and procedures to safeguard company assets and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
- Lead the year-end financial close process, including preparation of financial statements and liaising with auditors.
- Coordinate audit engagements, ensuring timely completion and resolution of audit queries.
- Review accounting policies and procedures to ensure compliance with accounting standards and regulatory requirements.
- Conduct financial due diligence for potential acquisitions, assessing financial risks and opportunities.
- Prepare financial models and analysis to support investment decisions and negotiations.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to evaluate the financial impact of acquisition targets and integration plans.
- Review and negotiate property leases, ensuring favorable terms and mitigating risks for the organization.
- Coordinate with legal counsel to address lease-related legal issues and ensure compliance with contractual obligations.
- Assess lease agreements for potential financial implications and advise senior management on strategic lease decisions
- Manage relationships with external service providers, including payroll, tax advisors, and other financial vendors.
- Ensure timely and accurate processing of payroll and compliance with tax regulations.
- Negotiate service agreements and monitor performance to ensure service quality and cost-effectiveness.
Qualifications and Skills:
- Qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA)
- Proven experience as a Finance Director or senior financial leadership role within a multi-site hospitality/leisure business.
- Extensive knowledge of financial management principles, accounting standards, and regulatory requirements.
- Demonstrated experience in financial due diligence, acquisitions, and lease negotiations.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret financial data and provide strategic insights.
- Results-oriented mindset with a focus on driving performance and achieving business objectives.
- Proactive and adaptable, with the ability to thrive in a dynamic and fast-paced environment.
