We are seeking a seasoned High Voltage Export Cable Engineer to join our team. This role involves overseeing the engineering, jointing, termination, and testing of export cables and related connection equipment, ensuring compliance with our client's HVC standards throughout project maturation and execution phases.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Engineering Oversight: Lead the engineering efforts for the supply, jointing, termination, and testing of export cables, ensuring compliance with our client's HVC requirements and standards.
  • Technical Leadership: Provide HVC technical input to internal stakeholders and suppliers, ensuring alignment and integration of technical requirements.
  • Design Evaluation: Evaluate and verify suppliers' technical proposals and designs, ensuring detailed design meets certification requirements.
  • Interface Management: Manage technical interfaces within the cable package, offering solutions to technical challenges during project maturation and execution.
  • Documentation Review: Review and accept designs for cable routes, routing plans on OSS, and quality-related documentation from suppliers.
  • Risk and Change Management: Provide technical input to project risks, opportunities, change requests, variation orders, and claims, managing changes not covered under formal requests.
  • Inspection and Testing: Define and coordinate project-specific inspection and testing activities, including PQT, EQT, TT, FAI, FAT, SAT, and others with CVA involvement.
  • Audit Participation: Participate in technical and quality audits alongside the QHSE team.
  • Checklist Preparation: Prepare and adapt inspection checklists for manufacturing, termination, and testing phases, utilizing Digital Inspection Tools (DIT).
  • Asset Management: Prepare and assign RDS-PP asset codes and compile O&M Level 2 Manuals for handover to the O&M team.
  • NCR and LL Management: Oversee NCR management and Lessons Learned in Synergi, focusing on the electrical aspects of cables and the thermal aspects of cables and CPSs.

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Educational Background: BSc in Electrical Engineering or equivalent professional experience.
  • Experience: Minimum of 5 years of practical and theoretical experience with high voltage export cables and accessories.
  • Technical Expertise: Deep understanding of HV cable systems, including electrical and thermal aspects, and the ability to interpret industry standards and client-specific TRs.
  • Skills: Strong project engineering skills, including technical proficiency, integrity, communication, adaptability, teamwork, and decision-making abilities.
  • Preferred: Familiarity with client-specific IT tools and procedures.
