We are seeking an experienced CAE (Computer Aided Engineering) Engineer to ensure the reliability, safety, and performance of mechanical systems in our new products by performing sophistic numerical modelling and analysis and laboratory validation tasks. His/her work will help the company in design and manufacture of products that meet desired performance, life-span, high-quality standards and regulatory requirements.

More specifically, we are seeking the candidate who has:

Main Responsibilities:

Stress and Strain Analysis: Analyze and assess the mechanical behavior of multi-components systems and structures under various loading and drop test conditions; Perform finite element analysis (FEA) to predict and optimize stress and strain distributions and deformations in parts/structures; Ensure that components meet safety and performance standards, as well as minimize the usage of materials and avoid manufacturing complexity.

Heat Transfer Analysis: Analyze and model heat transfer in products and systems; Determine temperature distributions, heat flow, and thermal performance; Design and optimize cooling systems to prevent overheating.

Vibration and Noise Analysis: Evaluate and predict the vibration behavior of our product systems and structures; Identify sources of vibration and noise, resonance issues, and potential solutions; Ensure that vibration and noise levels are within acceptable limits.

Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD) and Aerodynamics: Simulate fluid flow and heat transfer in systems using CFD software; Analyze aerodynamics, fluid dynamics, and thermodynamics to optimize designs, including multiphase coupling and flow analysis; Improve the performance of components exposed to fluid flow.


Qualifications:

Education: A Master degree in mechanical/manufacturing/material engineering or a related field is the minimum requirement, and PhD is desirable.

Analytical Skills: Strong analytical skills are essential to interpret complex data and make informed decisions.

Computer Skills: Proficiency in relevant software tools like FEA software (e.g., ANSYS, Abaqus), CFD software (e.g., Fluent, CFX), and other simulation tools.

Knowledge of Materials and Manufacturing Processes: Understanding of material properties and how they relate to stress, strain, and thermal behavior, and how these are influenced by manufacturing processes.

Experience: >10 years (including 5-year industrial) working experience in finite element modelling, CFD, or other specialized analysis fields, in analysis of multi-component machine/product systems and structures, is required.

Problem-Solving: The ability to identify problems, propose solutions, and optimize designs is crucial.

Communication Skills: Effective communication is important for collaborating with cross-functional teams and presenting findings to non-technical stakeholders.

Regulatory Knowledge: Knowledge of industry-specific regulations and standards is necessary to ensure compliance.

Project Management: The project management skills are essential.

Continual Learning: As technology evolves, staying up-to-date with the latest analysis methods and tools is important, and therefore, good attitude towards and ability of continuing learning new methods and software as well as handling new machine/product system analysis challenges are required.
