Catering Assistant needed for busy primary and secondary school – ideal job for a person who wants a term-time only role where they can still develop their skills.

We have an exciting opportunity for a Catering Assistant to join the team at Accent, working at our site in Horsham- *term time only position*

The working hours could be between *20 hours * and *25 hours* per week, Monday - Friday. The shift pattern is from *9.30am* or *10:30am *to *2.30pm* with 30min unpaid break.

This role will provide general support for our site, serving customers and assisting the Chef Manager with food preparation and cleaning.

*Working as part of a team your daily tasks will mainly consist of:*

· general kitchen duties

· putting away deliveries

· food preparation

· serving, cleaning and washing up

· maintaining high standards of presentation of food and replenishing counters keeping them looking attractive throughout the service time

· speaking to each customer in a friendly, helpful and professional manner

· assisting customers whenever necessary, listening to any comments they may have and relaying these to the Manager or Chef

· undertaking all basic training and work effectively with colleagues as part of a team

This is a customer facing position so in addition to the above you will also need good communication skills and be able to demonstrate a clear understanding of the English language.

The ideal candidate will be customer focused, work well with a team, be safety conscious, and will be passionate about food.

Experience in a similar role would be an advantage but full training will be provided for the successful candidate.
