We are excited to be recruiting for an ambitious individual looking to kick start their career with one of the region’s largest builders’ merchants. Working in a rewarding and fast paced sales environment within our Plumbing and Heating department at our Sunderland branch, you will be welcomed with a fantastic opportunity to develop your skills and lay the foundations for a lasting career.

Completing your Level 2 Trade Supplier Apprenticeship, you will benefit from a range of both on the job and classroom-based training. Our programme runs for 18 months during which time you’ll learn everything from how to plumb a house, to how to run a busy sales office and lots in between Supporting with all aspects of the department, you’ll spend time in the warehouse, serving behind the counter and maybe even delivering to customers therefore, you’ll need a flexible approach to working.

As one of our trainees, you’ll be in good company – many of our past apprentices have gone on to further management development programmes and are in key roles across the company. If you have the drive and determination, there are lots of opportunities to develop and progress.

We think fitting in with our values and culture are the most important thing for new recruits. We’ll review applications according to the overall standard but ideally candidates will have:
* A good standard of education with a minimum of 5 GCSEs (achieved or predicted) including Maths and English at Grade 4 or above
* Good communication and organisation skills
* Competent IT skills
* Interest in Plumbing and Heating

We offer a competitive salary and benefits package. We don’t pay the apprenticeship rate so you’ll be guaranteed to be paid a fair minimum rate from day one.

We’re flexible on start dates for the right individuals and ideally hope to have new team members join us as soon as possible.
