Our client, a lovely Care home located near Kingston-Upon-Thames, is currently seeking a Second/Sous Chef to join their team.

Please read the information in this job post thoroughly to understand exactly what is expected of potential candidates.

This second chef position offers a good hourly rate and hours of work plus every other weekend off.

Hours of work
- 40 hours per week
- Every other weekend off
- Daytimes with no late evenings

Second Chef Key responsibilities include:
*Supervising kitchen staff and assigning tasks as needed
*Managing meal preparation and service to uphold high standards
*Ensuring compliance with food and hygiene regulations set by the CQC
*Planning menus
*Maintaining cleanliness and hygiene in the kitchen area
*Conducting checks, audits, and risk assessments as per company policies
*Monitoring stock levels and budgeted ordering
*Assisting in deep cleaning of kitchen areas
*Coordinating staff schedules with the head chef

Ideal candidates will:
*Have a minimum of 12 month's experience in a similar supervisory/managerial role
*Possess Food & Hygiene Level 2 certification or higher
*Demonstrate strong organisational and communication skills
*Have solid experience with COSHH
*Possess extensive knowledge of care home settings and CQC requirements
