Basis salary up to £75,000 + Benefits
As Cyber Security Manager you will spearhead the development and implementation of advanced cybersecurity frameworks aligned with industry standards. This is a pivotal role where you'll lead rigorous risk assessments, prioritise mitigation strategies, and swiftly respond to cybersecurity incidents.
Collaborating closely with internal stakeholders, you'll seamlessly integrate cybersecurity into our overall risk management and data protection strategies and enforce robust policies to safeguard our operations from emerging threats.
Your role
You'll oversee audits, both internal and external, ensuring compliance with best practices and regulations, while managing penetration testing and vulnerability control to enhance cybersecurity effectiveness. Developing and maintaining tailored policies and guidelines, you'll enforce compliance through rigorous monitoring and training, staying ahead of emerging threats.
Your role will focus on cyber resilience, developing IT service continuity plans and collaborating across IT and business continuity teams to embed cybersecurity into all planning efforts. As a key relationship manager, you'll liaise with a Virtual Chief Information Security Officer (vCISO), support cross-functional teams, and advise senior leadership on cybersecurity strategy. Additionally, you'll champion cybersecurity awareness within our organisation's culture through collaboration with Learning and Development teams
Experience
Proven cyber security management experience, focusing on governance, risk management, and compliance in the financial sector.
Strong understanding of cyber security frameworks, standards, and best practices.
Hands-on experience managing cybersecurity audits, including preparation, coordination, and remediation activities.
Analytical mindset with the ability to assess complex cyber security risks and develop pragmatic solutions.
Skills and Abilities:
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or Cybersecurity.
Professional certifications such as CISSP, CISM, CRISC preferred.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for effective collaboration with stakeholders at all levels.
Ability to implement and enforce best practices within teams.
Takes and inspires accountability; results-oriented.
Adaptable and resilient to change; proactive problem-solver.
Continuous improvement mindset, always striving for enhanced performance.
