Our client is a UK leader within the FMCG (Non-Food) Market; Offering some of the most recognisable Consumer Brands within the market they are at the forefront of strong double digit growth within the categories which they operate.
The UK business unit is well established and is experiencing High Growth; the cultural and business DNA is an exciting mix of both Long-term Strategic Planning but with a strong element of Entrepreneurial Flair at all levels. This is where you could be make the difference, as in order to drive the market further they are now seeking to appoint a Head of E-Commerce to the UK SLT.
The Role
As Head of E-Commerce you will be tasked with managing & growing an exciting Business Unit which has been identified as High-Growth within the Group. As the lead of the exciting growth channel you will bring a start-up mindset, consumer knowledge and digital expertise to the the role. You will naturally be a resourceful disruptor at ease with navigating the challenges of fast moving market.
Core Elements will be-
- Direct of the E-Commerce channel, including identifying new trading opportunities
- Establish and continuously develop the vision, strategy, and ways of working for E-Commerce
- Lead the E-Commerce agenda, monitor channel performance, deliver the trade plan and customer development plan.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to bring the E-Commerce vision and strategy to life, thus maximizing commercial opportunities.
- Develop a thorough understanding of operational requirements, establish effective working processes, and utilize insights for data-driven decision-making.
- Manage the contact matrix across the business to deliver industry-leading service and support.
- Drive performance understanding of E-Commerce channels and provide executive reporting.
- Foster relationships with external trade and industry bodies associated with the business area.
- Share relevant commercial and consumer intelligence to upskill key stakeholders and drive business growth across digital channels.
- Directly manage and inspire a large team.
Candidate Requirements
Relevant Candidates will already be operating at a senior E-Commerce Role level within a major FMCG or Consumer Product Business. You will have an understanding and experience of direct to consumer E-Comm and Digital Retail market places/platforms, ideally for a creatively driven business. The role requires a real “can do” mentality alongside a creative flair for solution focused thinking inside a matrix corporate framework.
You will also need-
- Experience of working cross functionally to create a coherent ways of working that deliver best in class user and consumer experiences
- Experience of the leading the full contract life cycle across multiple accounts
- A strong track record of successfully growing online sales performance, within budget and a long term strategy, ideally through a matrix team
- An exceptional leader of people, great at developing & sustaining key internal & external relationships, performance management and people development
