As Sous Chef, you will play a key role in supporting the Head Chef to deliver exceptional French dishes while maintaining the high standards of our kitchen. You will have the opportunity to work with quality ingredients, lead a passionate team, and contribute to the development of innovative seasonal menus that reflect traditional French flavors with a modern twist.

About you:

  • Proven experience as a Sous Chef, ideally in a French or European-style restaurant
  • Strong knowledge of French culinary techniques and passion for French cuisine
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-pressure kitchen environment
  • Leadership skills with the ability to inspire and motivate a team
  • Excellent attention to detail and a commitment to delivering consistent, high-quality food
  • A positive attitude, with a willingness to learn and develop

About the job:

  • Assist the Head Chef in all aspects of kitchen management, including menu planning, ordering, and stock control
  • Ensure the preparation and presentation of high-quality dishes in line with the restaurant's standards
  • Supervise, train, and motivate junior kitchen staff, ensuring a positive and efficient working environment
  • Maintain excellent food hygiene and safety standards
  • Step up to manage the kitchen during the Head Chef's absence
  • Contribute to the creation of seasonal menus, adding your flair for French cuisine
