Job Overview:

We are seeking a dynamic and enthusiastic Geography/PE Teacher to join our dedicated team from January 2025. The successful candidate will be responsible for teaching Geography across Key Stages 3 and 4, alongside delivering engaging and inclusive Physical Education lessons to students across a range of age groups. This is a permanent role and an exciting opportunity to be part of a forward-thinking department that promotes both academic achievement and physical well-being.



Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan, deliver, and assess high-quality Geography lessons in line with the national curriculum.
  • Teach PE lessons that foster participation, fitness, and a love for sports among students.
  • Monitor and track student progress, providing feedback to students and parents as required.
  • Work collaboratively with colleagues in both the Geography and PE departments to contribute to curriculum development and extracurricular activities.
  • Encourage and inspire students to reach their full potential in both academic and physical disciplines.
  • Maintain a safe, respectful, and positive learning environment in both classroom and sports settings.
  • Participate in school-wide activities and contribute to the wider life of the school, including sports events, field trips, and other extracurricular programs.


Essential Requirements:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) in the UK.
  • Relevant degree in Geography, Physical Education, or related field.
  • Proven experience in teaching Geography and PE in a secondary school setting.
  • Strong classroom management skills and the ability to engage and motivate students.
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to work well as part of a team.

  • Experience teaching both subjects across various key stages.
  • A passion for sports and fitness, with experience in coaching or leading extracurricular activities.
  • Willingness to contribute to wider school life through clubs, societies, or team events.
