Head of Economic Development (Interim)

Initial 6 Month Contract
£500 per day Inside IR35
2 days per week in office remainder remote
Panoramic Associates is currently working with a Local Authority client to facilitate the appointment of an experienced Head of Economic Development to lead and manage the council's Economic Development service.
Responsibilities of the Role:
Ensure that the Council maximises opportunities to secure external funding through building effective partnerships with internal and external stakeholders.
Ensure funding programmes are managed and monitored effectively to ensure outcomes are delivered in accordance with funding objectives.
Provide leadership in developing opportunities for economic growth within the local area with a focus on strategy, inward investment, skills, and place making.
Be responsible and accountable for the service's budgets including monitoring and reporting.
Contribute to the development and implementation of corporate projects, strategies and policies.
To be successful in the role you will have:
Experience working in a local authority setting.
A proven track record of working at a senior leadership level is essential (Head of Service or above).
Extensive knowledge of local, regional and national political and economic context impacting on local government.
Next Steps
This role is an initial 6-month contract with likely extension and offering £500 a day Inside IR35.
You will be required to be in the office 2 days per week, with the reminder remote.
