DevOps Engineer / Linux Systems Administrator required by a forward thinking software company.



The information below covers the role requirements, expected candidate experience, and accompanying qualifications.

Due to planned expansion the company is looking to hire a DevOps Engineer / Linux Systems Administrator to join their existing DevOps team working in a highly technical but relaxed environment.


The company's office is located in Berkshire although they are open to hybrid or remote work depending on personal preference.


This is a varied role working on the design, deployment and configuration of a cloud-hosted infrastructure.


Responsibilities to include


  • CI/CD processes
  • Automated deployments / systems configuration using Terraform and Ansible
  • Database administration (PostgreSQL)
  • General Linux infrastructure administration




The role would suit an existing DevOps Engineer or a Linux Systems Administrator looking to move into a more DevOps focused environment.


Essential experience;

  • Ability to build, deploy and support Linux servers
  • Linux eg Debian, CentOS
  • Scripting eg Bash, Python, Shell
  • Networking
  • JIRA
  • CI/CD


Any experience in the following is not essential but would be advantageous;


  • AWS
  • Ansible
  • Terraform
  • PostgreSQL, MySQL
  • Firewalls
  • Virtualisation – VMWare, vSphere
