This leading fashion business with an impressive portfolio of brands, and an excellent reputation in the industry are seeking a skilled and passionate Fabric and Materials Technologist to join their small and friendly team. In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring the quality, performance, and sustainability of the fabrics and materials used in their products. You will work closely with designers, suppliers, and production teams to develop and source components that meet our high standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Evaluate and select fabrics and materials for new collections.
- Conduct quality control tests to ensure materials meet industry standards.
- Collaborate with designers to provide technical advice on fabric properties and suitability.
- Source sustainable and innovative materials to align with our environmental goals.
- Manage relationships with suppliers and negotiate contracts.
- Stay updated on industry trends and advancements in fabric technology.
- Troubleshoot and resolve any material-related issues during production.
