Product Development Manager

(Polymer Scientist) to join a growing
science technology company in Cambridgeshire.

As a Product Development Manager, you will lead the company’s entire product development life cycle to apply their technology to a range of products.

As the Product Development Leader, you have a background in plastics/ polymers/ Masterbatch with a track record of successful product lunches.

Responsibilities
Develop and implement a product develop strategy to ensure company goals are met.
Work collaboratively with all departments (R&D, Production, sales, quality) to dive innovation across product ranges focussing on plastics and textiles.
Oversee formulation scale-up activities to manufacturing.
Lead multi-discipline teams of scientists, engineers and product development technologists.
Lead innovation on polymer/ monomer and plastic based products.
Ensure quality standards are maintained throughout the product development life cycle.
Develop and monitor project plans to ensure the quality and on-time delivery of products.

Ideally candidates will be:
Degree or PhD qualified in Chemistry, Polymer Science or Chemical Engineering and have significant experience in product development roles taking products to lunch.

This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced Product Development Chemist/ Polymer Development Chemist with experience in Polymers/ Plastics/ Masterbatch to take on a leadership role within an innovative and growing R&D company.
