We are a boutique country house hotel with 18 bedrooms situated in a scenic location overlooking Stroud set in 4 acres of grounds. We have a score well above 9/10 from Booking.com and 4/5 from Trip advisor

The restaurant has 50-60 indoor covers and we are modifying the 4 acres of grounds with views over Stroud in the valley. We have a kitchen garden and forager to compliment our farm to fork cooking.

We are looking for people who share the same passion and vision to join us and help develop the culinary offering further to make it a distinct destination to come and eat.

David is looking for a right hand chef who can help him elevate the kitchen and lead the kitchen confidently ensuring the high standard of food which would entail being able to lead all sections of the kitchen. Within your scope will be dish and,people development, and sourcing and supplier management.

The ideal candidate will have good food sourcing knowledge, a passion for cooking from farm to fork to an elevated style, and bags of enthusiasm to help develop this restaurant reputation around this and wellness.

*Senior Sous Chef Roles & Responsibilities:*
* Part of the senior kitchen team with maintaining standards
* Manage, Supervise and coordinate activities of staff within the kitchen environment
* Help develop new recipes and determine how to present the food
* Help with stock rotation and kitchen cleanliness
* Inspect supplies, equipment, and work areas for cleanliness and functionality
* Assist with training of the apprentice and lead by example
* Be confident with running each section accordingly
* Monitor and maintain all aspect of health and safety, regulation and kitchen cleanliness.
