Metrology Programmer

£250 per day

I am urgently looking for a Metrology Team member to join one of the UK's leading automotive manufacturers, to ensure high-quality standards in component measurement and contribute to the precision and performance of our vehicles.

This contract allows you to join the Metrology Team and engage in critical areas of quality assurance, including component measurement, dimensional accuracy verification, and comprehensive reporting of measurement data.

Responsibilities:

  • Prepare car body structures for measurement.
  • Measure car body structures using the GOM Scanbox 8160 according to pre-written programs.
  • Verify the dimensional accuracy of car body structures.
  • Notify the supervisor or team leader when products fail to meet standards.


Knowledge, Skills, and Experience:

  • Mechanical engineering background, preferably with experience in the automotive or aerospace industry.
  • Experience using Catia V5.
  • Essential experience in using and programming CMMs with GOM Inspect software.
  • Knowledge of Polyworks and PCDmis software is advantageous.
  • Experience using portable measuring equipment such as Faro and Romer.
  • City and Guilds in Mechanical Engineering or a similar qualification is advantageous.s
