On behalf of our EPC client, Petroplan is seeking a Instrument Engineer for a large off-shore brownfield modification project. This role is based in Leatherhead, Surrey. Offered as hybrid with two days remote, 3 days in office.

Outside IR35 Subject to assessment. 8 Month minimum period.

Job Overview;

As the instrument engineer you will design instrumentation systems in collaboration with other disciplines and produce documentation such as general arrangement drawings, electrical detail drawings, and loop drawings, whilst reviewing existing documentation and preparing packages for installation.

Job Purpose:

  • Design and develop instrumentation systems for offshore projects
  • Produce and review technical documentation (GA drawings, Electrical Detail Drawings, Loop drawings)
  • Prepare work packages and specifications for installation
  • Specify and procure instrumentation, cables, and equipment

Job Requirements;

  • Minimum 5 years' experience in offshore-related projects
  • Strong engineering design background with extensive knowledge of instrumentation in the oil industry
  • Proficiency in English; Norwegian skills are a plus
  • Knowledge of standards: ATEX, Norsok, Equinor TR, STID, ProCoSys
  • Degree in Instrumentation/Automation or equivalent experience in Brownfield modifications
  • Offshore certification/experience
