£60,000 + 15% Bonus

Hybrid - 2 days in Swindon office / 3 days Remote


As the successful Data Engineer you will have the following experience:


  • Azure Data Services
  • Databricks
  • SQL Server / TSQL
  • SSIS, SSRS
  • Data modelling
  • Data Warehouse and Report Layer design
  • Strong SQL/database querying skills
  • Knowledge of Azure portal, Azure services, Power BI and Azure DevOps
  • Experience of Synapse Beneficial but not necessary


As the successful Data Engineer you will:


  • Help migrate from Synapse to Databricks
  • load source data to the Data Lake and provide data to the Report layer(s) Power BI
  • Perform data transformations as per mapping documents
  • Develop pipelines for audit capture, error, and exception handling
  • Automate pipelines and Report Layer jobs using scheduling tools
  • Ensure quality is embedded and provable at every stage of code development
  • Provide design input for all technical deliverables
  • Create and maintain Technical Specifications
  • Data extracts from Legacy systems
  • Identify improvements to existing processes
