The Role

As a Data Architect, you will be responsible for the design and creation of data systems. You will work with a diverse range of data and infrastructures. In this role, you will be responsible for managing data systems and will use a variety of tools such as Enterprise Cloud Data management and integration tools such as Informatica.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Work with projects and programs to define, govern and maintain the Data technology architecture including data platforms, integration and application development.
  • Develop and implement an overall organisational data strategy that is in line with business process.
  • Develop conceptual, logical and physical data models for the above platforms SQL and No-SQL platforms including Relational, Dimensional, Data Vault and Document data modelling.
  • Support the definition and management of data throughout its lifecycle through the delivery of data dictionaries and Metadata.

Your Profile

Key skills/knowledge/experience:

Extensive experience in roles delivering Operational and Analytics solutions.

  • High level of IT literacy skills.
  • In depth knowledge and experience of using Cloud technologies like GCP/AWS/AZURE.
  • Experience working in a team in one of the following functions: Enterprise Data Architect, application development, database development.
  • An enterprise approach with ability to work with stakeholders at all levels within the business and digital organisations.
  • Extensive experience of Data modeling by applying best practices.
  • Understanding of DBMS technologies and their suitability for specific uses.
  • Excellent level of ability to structure, analyse and interpret data.

Experience with modern data architecture such a cloud-based data platform technologies (GCP, AWS, BigQuery, Snowflake, CloudSQL) and stream processing (Kafka)
