Role Description

This is a full-time hybrid role for a Cold Call Telemarketer. The Cold Call Telemarketer will be responsible for making outbound cold calls to potential customers, scheduling appointments, communicating with prospects, providing customer service, and using sales techniques to generate leads and close sales. The role will be based in the Manchester Area, with flexibility for some remote work.

As a Cold Call Telemarketer, you will be responsible for selling the benefits of our cloud bookkeeping smartphone app to Accountants in Practice, for them to deploy to their clients. This app is designed to streamline bookkeeping processes and increase efficiency for small businesses and their accountants, helping them to dramatically reduce the cost of handling their Sole Trader clients records and potentially turn a profit from this segment of their customers.

 

In this role, you will be responsible for making outbound calls to potential Accountant clients, introducing them to the features and benefits of our cloud bookkeeping smartphone app, and persuading them to purchase the app for their clients. You will need to have excellent communication and negotiation skills, as well as the ability to build rapport with potential accountant clients over the phone.

 

Responsibilities

1.     Conducting outbound cold calls to potential clients

2.     Introducing potential clients to the features and benefits of our cloud bookkeeping smartphone app

3.     Generate min 20 qualified appointments per week for the Business Development Manager to follow up

4.     The appointments need to be attended, so contact day prior to confirm and ensure client knows appointment is imminent – manage the whole process from start to finish

5.     Providing accurate and detailed information about our app to potential clients

6.     Identifying potential clients' needs and tailoring sales strategies to meet those needs.

7.     Persuading potential clients to purchase the app for their clients by communicating its value and benefits.

8.     Documenting all customer interactions and sales activities in our CRM system

9.     Working with other members of the team and referring qualified leads on to them

10. Meeting or exceeding sales targets on a consistent basis

 

Requirements

1.     Proven experience as a telemarketer or in a similar sales role

2.     Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

3.     Ability to build rapport and establish relationships with potential clients over the phone.

4.     Strong negotiation and persuasion skills

5.     Self-motivated and goal-oriented

6.     Ability to work under pressure and meet sales targets.

7.     Proficient in using CRM software for tracking customer interactions and sales activities.

8.     Knowledge of bookkeeping and accounting principles is a plus.
