HGV Class 1 Driver

The Recruitment Crowd are currently recruiting on behalf of our well known and industry-leading client based in the Hebburn area. We are looking for a dedicated HGV Class 1 Driver (CAT C+E) to join the team.

 

Hours: Monday to Friday, start times between 5am and 7am.

Pay Rate: £15.00 per hour PAYE.

Location: Hebburn, NE31.

Job Type: Ongoing with an opportunity for permanent.

 

The role:

·        Conduct daily deliveries to various destinations within the designated route.·        Operate Class 1 vehicles equipped with mirror cams, ensuring safe and efficient driving practices.·        Completing 1-2 deliveries per day.·        Open curtains on the curtainsider vehicle upon arrival at delivery sites.·        Coordinate with on-site forklift drivers for fork on/fork off loading of goods.·        Complete necessary paperwork accurately and in a timely manner.·        Provide excellent customer service, as you will be representing the company on-site.

Requirements:

·        Full UK driving licence with Class 1 entitlement (category C+E).·        Minimum of 1 year proven experience driving the relevant vehicle.·        Valid and in date DCPC and Digital Tachograph card.·        No more than 6 points on licence (minor offences only). ·        Full understanding of WTD legislation.·        Excellent communication skills.·        A safety-first mindset.·        Friendly demeanour with a focus on providing excellent customer service.
