Job Title: Used Car Preparation Technician

 

As a Prep Technician in our well-equipped workshop, you play a central role in upholding high standards for the preparation of used cars. Your responsibilities include daily inspection and repair of used cars, ensuring they meet our stringent preparation standards. The role requires meticulous completion of paperwork and conducting final road tests.

Responsibilities:

  • Inspect exteriors and interiors of vehicles, reporting any defects.
  • Work collaboratively within a team of skilled Technicians and under approachable management to ensure swift completion of all PDI's.
  • Demonstrate excellent communication skills for effective collaboration with colleagues within the Retailer.
  • Utilise diagnostic equipment, perform self-quality checks, and conduct road tests to verify the level and quality of work carried out.
Requirements:

  • Completed NVQ Level 2/3 qualification in Light Vehicle Repair or equivalent NVQ, BTEC, or City & Guilds qualifications.
  • Full UK Driving license.
  • Strong technical background with experience as a motor vehicle mechanic in a similar role.
