Hours: 7:30 - 5:00 - Monday - Friday, no weekends

Responsibilities:
  • Review project plans, specifications, and drawings to understand project requirements.
  • Collaborate with project managers and engineers to gather necessary information for estimating purposes.
  • Conduct thorough cost analysis of materials, labour, and equipment costs.
  • Prepare accurate and detailed estimates for labour, materials, subcontractors, and other project expenses.
  • Present estimates to management and clients clearly and professionally.
  • Maintain accurate records of estimates, including any revisions or changes made throughout the bidding process.
  • Collaborate with procurement teams to obtain competitive pricing from suppliers and subcontractors.

Requirements:
  • Full UK Driving Licence essential.
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Proven experience as an Estimator in the steel construction industry.
  • Strong knowledge of steel construction methods, materials, and costs.
  • Proficient in using computer Excel spreadsheets & estimating tools.
  • Excellent mathematical and analytical skills.
  • Attention to detail with the ability to accurately interpret project plans and specifications.
