HGV Class 1 Driver

The Recruitment Crowd are currently recruiting experienced Class 1 Drivers to join our team in Warrington

Hours: Morning, afternoons or nights of your choice across Monday to Sunday with various start times available, average shift length of 12 hours.

Pay Rates:

• AM: Monday – Thursday £17.00 / Friday £17.50/ Saturday £18.00 / Sunday £18.26 (all PAYE)
• AM: Monday – Thursday £17.00 / Friday £17.50/ Saturday £18.00 / Sunday £20.46 (Rolled up holidays)
• PM: Monday – Thursday £17.50 / Friday £18.00 / Saturday £18.50 / Sunday £19.00 (all PAYE)
• PM: Monday – Thursday £19.61 / Friday £20.17 / Saturday £20.73 / Sunday £21.29 (Rolled up holidays)
• Nights: Monday – Thursday £18.20 / Friday £19.00 / Saturday £19.50 / Sunday £19.80 (all PAYE)
• Nights: Monday – Thursday £20.40 / Friday £21.29 / Saturday £21.85 / Sunday £22.19 (Rolled up holidays)

The 2 pounds extra will carry on from 17.11.2024 till 14.12.2024

Location: Warrington, WA5

The role:

• Trucking between depots, ensuring timely and safe delivery of parcels.
• Reversing in the yard and manoeuvring vehicles with precision.
• Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of assigned vehicle, ensuring roadworthiness and compliance with company standards.
• Adhere to all relevant traffic laws, regulations, and company policies to maintain a high level of safety on the road.
• Effectively communicate with dispatch and logistics teams to ensure timely deliveries and pickups.

Requirements:

• Full UK driving licence with Class 1 entitlement (category C+E).
• Valid and in date DCPC and Digital Tachograph card.
• No more than 6 points on licence (minor offences only).
• Successful completion of assessment, including theory element which is two questionnaires based on drivers' hours and road laws and a practical element which will be based on yard reversing and a short driving test.
• Full understanding of WTD legislation.
• Excellent communication skills.
• A safety-first mindset.
