Water Hygiene Engineer / Plumber, Bristol, to £30k + Van, Tools, Pension & other benefits. With a national client base consisting of NHS, Charities and Retail Groups, amongst others this successful Water Treatment/Hygiene company continues to grow and develop. They now have an opening within their South West Team for an experienced Water Hygiene Engineer / Plumber. Reporting to the Contracts Manager, the successful person will be responsible for undertaking a variety of remedial and emergency works, ensuring all work completed is line with ACOP L8. Overview:
  • Ensure Health & Safety and RAMS must be followed for all tasks.
  • Completing water hygiene / treatment PPM.
  • Humidification PPM.
  • Water fountain PPM.
  • EVAC drainage reactive callouts.
  • Temperature monitoring.
  • Microbiological samples.
  • CWST and TMV inspection and servicing.
  • Water filter replacement.
  • Calorifier blowdown.
  • Showerhead clean and chlorination.
  • Flushing.
  • Water risk assessments (once qualified).
  • Audits.
Other:
  • “Paperwork” is to be completed on a PDA device.
  • All work must be completed must comply with company policies/procedures.
  • Timesheets are to be completed weekly and fuel returns monthly.
  • Participate fully in 1-1 meetings, team talks and attend all mandatory training.
Requirements:
  • Held a similar position, ideally working for a Water Treatment or Water Hygiene Company.
  • Good understanding of Legionella ACOP L8 Regulations and working to them.
  • Full/Clean Driving License.
  • Due to client based you will need to be pass a DBS check.
  • Consent to the company’s routine drug and alcohol testing policy.
  • You must be presently residing in the UK, with the ability to cover the South West Region.
  • Sponsorship is not available so you will need full leave to remain.
Package:
  • Salary up to £30k dependent on experience, realistic OTE of £35-40k including overtime
  • Hours: 40 hours per week, Monday to Sunday - Overtime is available, but not mandatory
  • This will include 1 week of nights per month, completing humidification PPM work.
  • There may be the requirement to stay away from home to complete works outside of your area.
  • 1 week in 3 on call rota for the South West team.
