Weekend Hours – Day shifts – Weekly Pay

We are looking for an experienced Care Assistant to work early shifts over the weekend within a beautiful care home based in the Alfreton area.

You will be working alongside the existing experienced team of care staff to provide very busy care to the elderly residents, ensuring that they are given the best quality of life possible.

Job Details:
  • You will ensure that all care plans are followed to ensure that the service users receive the level of support appropriate to them and to better understand their likes and dislikes, tailoring your support accordingly. 
  • You will undertake personal care duties.
  • You will prepare light meals and fluids for the residents as required.
  • You will ensure the safe use of any moving and handling equipment (inc. Hoists, Slings, Slide Sheets, Rotundas, etc)
  • You will always oversee the health and safety of the service users under your care.
  • You may be required to undertake some basic cleaning duties, ensuring that all relevant cleaning rotas and safety procedures are followed.

Vacancy requirements:
  • A full and up-to-date CV
  • A minimum of 12 months of paid UK care experience working within a care or nursing home.
  • Enhanced DBS certificate registered on the update service.
  • Mandatory training certificates relevant to the role, dated within the past 12 months.
  • Be able to provide 2 professional references covering a minimum of 2 years, including one from your most recent employer.
  • Have access to your transport or be able to reliably commute to the location for the hours specified.

Hours: 07:00 to 14:15 on Saturdays and Sundays 
The pay rate for this role is: £11.44 per hour
