Design & Build Project Manager

Project Manager, Cheshire, £28-32k Established and successful company within the Exhibitions and Events arena are now seeking an additional Project Manager to join their team, working mainly on custom design and build projects.

This will be office based when not out on site or attending external meetings.

Working within a warm and friendly environment you will be responsible for planning, managing and overseeing assigned projects ensuring each one runs smoothly from sign off to onsite build.

Responsibilities will include, but may not be limited to:
  • Act as main point of contact for the client on assigned projects.
  • Liaise with clients (phone, email, face to face) to discuss projects and offer advice.
  • Identify any additional costs which would require approval from client and inform finance department of any expenses.
  • Manage internal project handover and up-date meetings 
  • Work closely with inhouse teams and keep track on work in progress to make sure deadlines will be achieved.
  • Manage timelines after handover in the workshop and on site 
  • Attend shows (UK & Overseas) to monitor build/breakdown, this will include working with employed and contract/3rd party teams.
  • Follow/update Project Planner
  • Source new suppliers and update supplier list
 Requirements:
  • Must have previous experience in Project Managing complex/time sensitive design/build projects.
  • Prior experience managing complex jobs from design to completion is essential
  • Background working within Exhibitions, Events, Roadshows or allied marketplace would be an advantage.
  • Good communication, problem solving, organisation, time management and planning skills.
  • IT literate
  • Ability to work independently as well as part of a wider team.
  • Confident in liaising with Senior Decision Makers and Tradespeople.
  • Valid Passport
  • Full/clean driving licence
  • You must be willing/able to travel throughout the UK and Internationally when required to attend shows - this will include spending time away from home.
  • You must be presently living within the United Kingdom and have full leave to remain as sponsorship is not available.
