Warehouse Operations Manager

Job Description:
As the Warehouse Operations Manager - Digital Systems, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the smooth and efficient functioning of our warehouse operations through the utilisation of advanced digital systems. You will be responsible for managing all aspects of warehouse operations, including inventory management, order fulfilment, and quality control & logistics while leveraging technology to enhance productivity and accuracy.

Roles and Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement strategies to optimize warehouse operations, including digital systems and tools, to effectively manage inventory, space utilisation, and order fulfillment.
  • Oversee the implementation and maintenance of digital warehouse management systems (WMS) to streamline processes and improve efficiency.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including IT, logistics, and warehouse staff, to ensure seamless integration and effective utilisation of digital systems.
  • Monitor and analyse warehouse KPIs and performance metrics, leveraging data to identify areas for improvement and implementing action plans accordingly.
  • Lead and manage a team of warehouse staff, providing guidance, training, and support as needed, to ensure smooth operations and achieve performance goals.
  • Develop and enforce standardized operating procedures (SOPs) to enhance efficiency, accuracy, and safety within the warehouse.
  • Continuously evaluate and implement innovative technologies and automation solutions to improve productivity and reduce operational costs.
  • Collaborate with suppliers, carriers, and partners to optimize supply chain processes using digital systems, fostering strong relationships and ensuring seamless logistics.
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest trends and advancements in digital warehouse technologies, sharing insights and recommendations with senior management.

Qualifications and Skills:
  • Proven experience as a Warehouse Operations Manager or similar role, with a focus on leveraging digital systems and technologies.
  • Expereince in FMCG or Manufacturing environments
  • In-depth knowledge of warehouse operations and best practices, as well as experience with warehouse management systems (WMS) and other digital tools.
  • Strong analytical skills, with the ability to interpret data and key performance indicators (KPIs) to drive operational improvements.
  • Excellent leadership and team management abilities, with a focus on fostering a positive and collaborative work environment.
  • Effective communication skills, with the ability to convey complex concepts and strategies to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Familiarity with lean principles and continuous improvement methodologies to drive operational excellence.
  • FLT License.
