Internal Sales Engineer

Role Overview:
As an Internal Sales Engineer, you will play a vital role within our busy Sales office. Your primary responsibility will be to serve as the main point of contact for customer inquiries, both over the phone and via email. You will be actively involved in preparing quotations, processing sales orders, and providing technical assistance related to our mechanical geared product range. We are seeking candidates with a background in mechanical power transmission or a similar field.
Responsibilities:
- Act as the primary liaison for customer inquiries, ensuring prompt and accurate responses over the phone, through email, and via internet channels.
- Collaborate in the preparation of quotations and efficiently process sales orders, utilizing our SAP based order entry system
- Address technical inquiries from customers and colleagues, providing expert assistance and guidance.sUtilize computer literacy and proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, particularly WORD and EXCEL.
- Demonstrate excellent communication skills, both in written and verbal form, with fluency in English being essential.
- Undertake duties such as proactive customer follow-ups, order tracking, and maintaining accurate records of interactions in a timely manner.
Candidate Requirements:
- Possess a solid mechanical engineering background and familiarity with a technical sales office environment.
- Display an inclination for continuous learning and professional development.
- Demonstrate proficient computer skills, with the ability to adapt to new software systems.
- Exhibit exceptional telephone etiquette and the ability to build rapport with customers and team members.
- Willingness to undergo training as required and perform in a deadline-driven and fast-paced office environment.
- Ability to integrate well with both a small local team and a geographically dispersed national team.
