Job Description:

POSITION – PREMISES ASSISTANT (ENHANCED DBS REQUIRED)

SHIFT – TO BE DISCUSSED WITH CLIENT (7.5 Hrs PER DAY)

PAY - £12.18 PER HOUR

LOCATION – GAINSBOROUGH ROAD, CORBY

Quest Employment are looking for a reliable and trustworthy candidate to join one our clients as a Premises Assistant for an ongoing (possible temporary) appointment.

This position is based within a local school and therefore you MUST have an in-date Enhanced DBS certificate if you wish to apply for this post.

This position requires an attentive individual who takes pride in their work and conduct and who ideally has experience within a similar previous role. The position will include, but is not limited to, the following tasks:

  • Maintain the security of the premises and its contents (key holder responsibilities)
  • Operate and regularly check systems such as heating, cooling, lighting, and security (including CCTV and alarms)
  • Undertake minor repairs and maintenance of the buildings and site to include; routine development and maintenance, porterage, minor redecoration, repairs, and other tasks.
  • Ensure that buildings and site are secure, undertaking daily security checks including locking and unlocking of buildings at pre-determined times.
  • Keep records relating to maintenance and security.
  • Report serious hazards to line manager immediately.
  • Collect and assemble waste for collection.
  • Periodic cleaning of designated areas of the school building and grounds.
  • Function as a designated key holder, providing emergency access to the school site.
  • To be available to attend in cases of emergency outside the working week.
  • Function as school contact in relation to premises related contractors.
  • To monitor the quality of cleaning of the site
  • Assist in dealing with matters concerning building maintenance.
  • To clean designated areas in the establishment and maintain high standards across the school.
  • To ensure that all exterior areas are maintained, and repairs arranged where necessary.

The working hours will be discussed with our client at interview and will be tailored to suit both the needs of the business and the successful applicant.
