Nursery Deputy Manager
Join The Rocking Horse Nursery, a small independent, family run children's day nursery offering the highest level of care and education for children aged 3 months - 5 years.
Our company is dedicated to fostering the growth, education and nurturing of children, as we firmly believe that the children in our care will be the ones to shape the future.
Requirements:
- Minimum Level 3 Early Years qualification
- 2 years' recent experience in a senior role within a day nursery/preschool setting
- Kind, approachable, empathetic, calm and self-motivated
- Ability to motivate, manage and work effectively within a team
- Strong understanding of the EYFS and current Early Years Inspection Framework
- Thorough knowledge of child safeguarding and welfare
- Full-time availability, 40 hours per week across 5 days
Responsibilities:
- Ensure adherence to company policies and procedures
- Maintain high standards within the nursery, meeting EYFS requirements
- Provide leadership and support to staff
- Adhere to safeguarding policies and procedures and EYFS guidelines
- Promote positive relationships with parents, carers and outside agencies
- Support with staff training, supervisions, appraisals and development
- Assist in administrative duties and regulatory compliance
