Job Description
Actively sourcing and procuring products to meet business requirements.
Developing sourcing strategies and identifying cost-saving opportunities.
Maintaining and managing relationships with suppliers.
Monitoring and forecasting upcoming levels of demand.
Coordinating with the Supply Chain team to ensure timely deliveries.
Performing risk management regarding supply contracts and agreements.
Continuously improving purchasing methods and driving down external spend.
The Successful Applicant
A successful Buyer should have:
Proven experience as a Material Planner / Buyer in the manufacturing industry.
Strong knowledge of sourcing and procurement techniques Inc. supplier management would be desirable.
Ability to work well within a team and independently.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office.
