Main duties & key responsibilities

Digital Infrastructure Strategy: Develop and execute a comprehensive digital infrastructure strategy that aligns with ASEL's business objectives, focusing on scalability, compliance, and data security.

IT Management: Oversee ASEL's internal IT infrastructure, including servers, networks, and security protocols. Ensure that all systems operate smoothly and securely.

Customer-Facing Solutions: Lead the development and maintenance of customer-facing digital solutions, optimizing user experience and data security.

Compliance and Data Security: Ensure that compliance and data security are at the forefront of all digital initiatives, implementing robust security measures to protect ASEL and customer data.

IT Partner Management: Manage relationships with IT partners, ensuring that services meet ASEL's standards, budgets, and timelines.

Budget Forecasting: Develop and manage IT budgets, providing accurate forecasts and overseeing adherence to budgetary constraints.

Project Management: Implement a comprehensive change management program to capture, cost, and gain approval for all digital projects, ensuring alignment with strategic goals.

Team Leadership: Build and lead a high-performing IT team, fostering a culture of innovation, collaboration, and excellence.

Disaster Recovery and Business Continuity: Develop and maintain disaster recovery plans to ensure data and systems recovery in the event of disruptions.

Technology Roadmap Development: Create and maintain a technology roadmap that aligns with ASEL's long-term goals and objectives. Continuously evaluate emerging technologies for potential adoption and innovation opportunities.

Executive Reporting: Regularly present technology-related updates, strategies, and initiatives at ASEL's Senior Leadership Team (SLT) meetings, ensuring that the SLT are well-informed and aligned with the technology direction.

Reporting to – Chief Support Services Officer

• Direct Reports – IT partners

• Close relationship to Unifi CTO

• Supports all business verticals

Additional information

This is a national role that involves regular travel to various company locations and customer meetings to facilitate connectivity and integration discussions. Occasional international travel may be required as part of this role.

Knowledge, Skills and Experience

Essential:

• Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.

• Proven experience in senior IT or digital transformation role, with a track record of successfully managing digital infrastructure and security.

• Strategic thinker with a focus on business outcomes.

• Strong knowledge of network architecture, security, and best practices.

• Experience with cloud computing platforms and services.

• Proven Project and Change Management experience.

• Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting abilities.

• Knowledge of IT compliance standards and data protection regulations.

• Effective communication and interpersonal skills.

• Strong decision-making and prioritisation skills.

• Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.

Desirable:

• Master's degree in a related field.

• Relevant certifications (e.g., CISSP, CISM, PMP).

• Experience in the security or electronic security industry.

• Familiarity with regulatory requirements (e.g., GDPR, ISO 27001).

• Proven track record of integrating support services systems; HR, Finance, Sales

• Project management certifications (e.g., PMP, Prince2).
