Commercial Account Handler

LNJ Recruitment is thrilled to present an exciting opportunity for a Commercial Insurance Broker based in Leeds, on behalf of our esteemed client. In this role, you will closely collaborate with our Account Directors/Executives to manage a portfolio of corporate commercial clients. As the primary point of contact for clients, you will handle cover queries, mid-term adjustments, quotations, and various other tasks to effectively meet their demands and needs.
Key Responsibilities:
Manage a portfolio of commercial accounts, primarily dealing with commercial insurance.
Negotiate effectively with insurers to secure the best insurance programs and outcomes for clients.
Engage with the market within the scope of the broking strategy and matrix.
Build and maintain effective professional relationships with clients and insurers.
Offer advice on existing products and promote value-added services.
Handle and respond to product queries from clients promptly, efficiently, and accurately.
Prepare and distribute proposals and policy documents.
Process mid-term adjustments, renewals, and new business quotations.
Stay updated on market conditions and developments.
Develop detailed knowledge about the company's products.
Understand and adhere to the rules and compliance procedures of the FCA.
Complete all administration and paperwork in accordance with company procedures.
Ensure fair treatment of customers at all times and comply with FCA rules and guidelines.
Key Performance Indicators:
Quality of advice and product knowledge.
Compliance with Romero Insurance Brokers Ltd procedures.
Handling of complaints and adherence to the complaint procedure.
Innovation and problem-solving skills.
Quality of client files and computer records.
Clarity and completeness of paperwork.
Responsiveness to queries from customers and internal staff.
Maintenance of company service standards.
Experience/Skills Required:
Prior experience within commercial insurance.
Excellent telephone manner and strong communication skills.
A keen interest in progressing within the insurance industry.
Commitment to accuracy and thoroughness in work.
Strong organizational and time management skills with a client-focused approach.
Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
Team player mentality.
