Cherrylands Nursery is Ofsted rated Good and is a cosy and small but friendly nursery with a large well-equipped garden which is split into two sections for under and over 2’s. We have a long-standing knowledgeable team and have onsite parking as well as good transport links to the nursery.

We are looking for a Nursery Practitioner to join our growing team and provide stimulating and purposeful experiences, environments, and resources to children, that are appropriate to their age and stage of development.

This role is working 42.5 hours per week, various shifts patterns between the opening and closing times of the nursery 7:45am-18:15pm. This nursery is open all year round and is not a term time only role. You will need to have a full and relevant Level 3 childcare qualification. Salary £26,387.40 per annum depending on qualifications and experience.

As Nursery Practitioner, you will:

Provide stimulating and purposeful experiences, environments and resources to children, that are appropriate to their age and stage of development

Understand and ensure that the requirements of the statutory framework for the EYFS are met

Ensure the highest levels of cleanliness and hygiene in the nursery, and promote these daily in every routine

Undertake any other duties to ensure the smooth running of the nursery, and the safety and wellbeing of children, staff and families

Maintain strictly professional relationships and report any complaints or concerns to management in accordance with company policy and procedures

As Nursery Practitioner, you will need:

Full and relevant Level 3 childcare qualification - essential

Fluent in written and spoken English - essential

Over 1 year’s experience of working in Early Years - desirable

Knowledge of the Statutory framework for the EYFS and regulatory requirements - desirable
