Job summaryAn exciting permanent vacancy has arisen within the Audiology Service for a Principal Clinical Scientist to assist in the provision of a high quality Audiology service to the population of North Wales served by BCUHB. The post holder will be lead for the Acoustic Implant service at Wrexham Maelor Hospital and will perform duties as described in the

The post will be based at Wrexham Maelor Hospital. The roles will be performed in outpatient, domiciliary and/or in-patient settings across the area served by BCUHB.
There will be responsibility to train and supervise other clinical staff where appropriate.
This is an ideal opportunity to further develop clinical and service development skills in a supportive and progressive environment.
Main duties of the jobTo perform a range of highly specialised healthcare science activities associated with Acoustic Implantation (including the full range of bone conduction and middle ear implants).
To provide highly specialised advice, opinions, training to own and other professions in areas of clinical responsibility; undertake research and development in this specialist field.
To lead and manage the specialist Acoustic Implant team (Adults & paeds) ensuring safe, efficient and effective working practicesThe ability to speak Welsh is desirable for this post; English and/or Welsh speakers are equally welcome to apply.
