SENIOR MECHANICAL DESIGN ENGINEER

£50,000 - £58,000 + BONUS + BENEFITS

Due to ongoing success and company expansion, my client are looking to add to their skilled design team with the addition of a Senior Mechanical Design Engineer.

We are looking for an ambitious Mechanical Design Engineer. If you\'re a driven & highly motivated person wishing to craft out a successful and rewarding future in what is a truly unique environment, this could be the role for you. You will be working on a variety of Packaging Machinery equipment, which is manufactured and supplied to all parts of the globe.

THE ROLE:

  • Attend specification meetings with customers.
  • Providing technical guidance to colleagues and take ownership for mechanical design aspects of a project.
  • Maintain good standards in terms of project documentation.
  • Work closely with multi disciplined design engineers, resolving any issues and ensuring timely completion of projects.
  • Remain commercially aware during projects.
  • Produce parts lists, assembly drawings and detail drawings.
  • Carry out risk assessments on machinery and assemblies of machinery.
  • Attend project meetings and update the Project Managers on engineering progress.

THE PERSON:

  • 5+ years\' experience as a Mechanical design engineer.
  • Experienced with Solidworks or similar.
  • Produce 2d and 3d models.
  • Perform engineering calculations and analysis.
  • Confident leading a technical team on larger projects.
