Job Introduction

Based in swindon  you will have the flexibility to work within a model that supports both on-site and hybrid working arrangements, depending on the nature of the role. Main Responsibility
  • Managing a designated caseload of patients, ensuring effective prioritization and time management.
  • Conducting comprehensive patient assessments and developing individualized treatment plans.
  • Performing highly specialized therapeutic handling techniques to improve patient function and mobility.
  • Utilizing validated outcome measures to evaluate treatment effectiveness.
  • Leading goal-oriented rehabilitation programs in collaboration with patients, carers, and the multidisciplinary team.
  • Providing clinical leadership, training, and supervision to junior staff, assistants, and students.
  • Acting as a source of specialist advice for occupational therapy interventions.
  • Facilitating effective interdisciplinary communication to optimize patient care and discharge planning.
  • Writing detailed reports and referrals with therapeutic and discharge recommendations.
  • Ensuring compliance with professional, legal, and organizational policies

The Ideal Candidate
  • Diploma/Degree in Occupational Therapy.
  • HCPC Registered Occupational Therapist.
  • Postgraduate training and experience in neurological, stroke, and elderly care rehabilitation.
  • Evidence of Continuing Professional Development (CPD).
  • Broad experience as a Band 5 Occupational Therapist.
  • Experience supervising and mentoring junior staff and students.
  • Strong clinical reasoning and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to perform complex discharge planning and case management.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
  • Proficiency in using electronic patient record systems.
  • Full driving license and ability to travel within the community
